Description

Last winter, Swedish television finally aired the BBC series Desperate Romantics. Not only did I find it stunning, I also loved the music by Daniel Pemberton. So did my father, and therefore I decided to buy it for him for his birthday.

That was easier said than done - never have I had so much trouble to find an album for sale that was apparently recorded since it was on Spotify. And people wonder why there is so much illegal music files around?

Anyway, it disappeared from Spotify and then came back, and I resorted to buy the tracks and burn my own CD. But alas, a home-made CD has no pretty envelope. So I made one. As I'm not exactly Rossetti or Millais myself I figured I'd go back to basic - it's not much of it here, but ages ago I did a -lot- of floral patterns.

Well. It turned out I'm not exactly William Morris either. It was, however, interesting and quite meditative to dive into the patterns. A lot more detailed and complex than they appear at first sight. The result is a bit blobbier than intended, and I need to invest in better brushes, but I'm reasonably pleased. And my father can have his birthday present at last!
