I know the lineart's ancient, but I finally managed. Merry Christmas, :iconwursu: !

Actually, the lineart predates my first workshop in Aachen in 2011. I never got round to finish it there, then I was about to start the colouring a dozen times, then I moved, then I forgot about it, then I found it taped to a board behind my easy-chair and decided enough is enough.

I added water to the paper and then the first stroke of paint. You know what happens with permanent markers on too thin paper, when it sticks and bleeds at the same time? Exactly that happened. It was such an epic failure that I couldn't even be annoyed! I added like two layers, and noted that the effect was not too bad for spotted fur and that it was REALLY bad for shading faces. Oh, and did I mention that the colour bled from wet areas into dry ones?

In the end I added details and additional shading with watercolour pencils. Here is the result.

Akane is (c) me and Nenetl, in jaguar as in human form, is (c) :iconwursu: Illustration from a roleplay session which was really fun. Given this start, it's astonishing how well they get on now. Uhm. Well. Words are relative?

Great job with the cat . I also like the awkward look on the character's face.

I'm amazed that both of them look puzzled :D. It may be ancient, but it’s still lovely!

I think "puzzled" was the essence of that session, so yay if it shows.

And thank you ever so much!

Oooh! *makes small squeaking noices*

This is so lovely. It's never too late to finish old linearts and hey - good things comes to those who wait, eh? ;)

I love how this piece is so effective in it's communication. It perfectly conveys the essense of that roleplaying session <3 Also I think the mixed media works really well and I love certain details like the blades of grass and Nenetls tooth. And the colours!

Akane is so not happy. Nenetl bara BUT WHY DOES SHE HATE ME WHEN I SHOW HER NOTHING BUT LOVE
